Day Eight (8): Catch-up!

Hello, readers! I a planning on updating this Blog every day with information about what charity I have donated to on that day and why.

However, due to the fact that I spent every one of my pennies on my good deed that I did on Christmas Eve (which I discuss in my video) I have been unable to do my daily donations. I have £1 in cash, but due to not having been into town, I could not manually donate to a charity shop, either.

Today I have money, however, so today is "catch-up day!". This means that I will be donating £1 to eight charities today, rather than just one.

In the wee-hours I donated £1 to the Make A Wish America via "DrLupo", a games streamer on Twitch who was doing a twenty-four hour stream in aid of the charity. This has also inspired me to do the same, so I am researching how to do this now.

The twenty-four hour Destiny game stream has so far (the twenty-four hours are
not yet complete) raised $35,000 for the Make A Wish Foundation!
If any one has any knowledge of how to organise a gaming stream in aid of charity, please do send me an email at 365christmases@illisia.co.uk.

In the meanwhile, here is a list of the other seven charities that I have donated £1 to, and links to their websites.

  1. British Heart Foundation
  2. NSPCC (National Society For The Prevention of Cruelty to Children)
  3. The Salvation Army
  4. Crisis
  5. Shelter
  6. 3rd World Hope
  7. WWF (World Wildlife Foundation)
  8. Make A Wish America (see above)
For The British Heart Foundation, the website stated "Due to processing costs, the minimum donation we can accept is £2", so I donated the minimum amount, which is twice my daily requirement. The same applied to NSPCC and The Salvation Army.

If you have any suggestions for charities for me to donate to, please email or comment on my Blog post/s. You are also welcome to contact me about any fundraising opportunities.

Thank you all for your continued support, and Merry-Christmas-Every-Day-Of-The-Year!
