Day Two-Hundred-and-Ten (210): Finding Illisia

Hello, every one!
As I discussed in my prior post, due to personal reasons I have been unable to afford to maintain my charity efforts, sadly.

That was a couple of months ago, however, and things have since changed for the better. I am still financially "tight", but £1 per day should be manageable, if I budget for it accordingly. I am also doing more fundraisers! I am feeling more myself again, now. Hence "Finding Illisia".

I am officially £194 behind on my daily-donations, and this is completely unacceptable, so I have decided to catch-up! It might take a while, but if I do the £1-a-day from-here-on-in, with every time that I get my Benefit money (alas, I have no job due to disabilities) I make extra donations of ten or twenty lots of £1, then I should be able to manage it before Christmas. Fingers-crossed! :-)

Has any one else been joining-in on the #365Christmases campaign? Are you doing better at it than I am? That would be the definition of irony, if that were the case! ;-)

Fund-raising wise, I have done another twenty-four-hour (24-hour) games stream of the PS4 exclusive game Crash Bandicoot: The N-Sane Trilogy, and I raised £50 for the charity Special Effect!

A lot of things went horribly wrong where I ended-up starting the fund-raiser many hours late and only broadcasting on the one medium which was YouTube, rather than four mediums (Facebook Live, Twitch, Youtube Gaming and Mixer), but I still managed it.

I did not raise a huge amount (more than my first twenty-four-hour games stream fundraiser, though, which literally only raised £2!!!), especially given all the advertising I did for it beforehand via social media etc, but it is definitely better than nothing! If you have money to spare, please do donate; thank you.

It is nice to be appreciated! :-o
What's more, I had a wonderful surprise in the "snail-mail" last week, when I received a thank you letter from the charity, hand-written, no less! Attached was a booklet with information about where the money is going to go to. It really made me smile, and I think the charity is truly special, to take the time and do that for me, and presumably all the other fund raisers, as well.

They are pulling my heart strings!!!
It read:
"Dear Illisia,
Thank you so much for all your fantastic support of our work with your 24-hour livestreams - we massively appreciate it. You are helping us to make a real difference to people's lives. With our love; huge thanks, from Ali and the team :-) x
"

I plan on doing another twenty-four-hour games stream fundraiser in September for the game Destiny; again, in aid of Special Effect.

Thank you again for being a part of this journey with me! Many Blessings to you all, and a Merry Christmas!
